Title: will be missing for a short while

I know I don't get on much anyway but for the next few weeks it will be not at all. My wife and I are moving to Florida in early March, I only got the job offer today, we are both excited about the move but until we are settled I need to spend the time packing stuff and getting rid of other clutter.

Congrats! We actually just moved to Miami, FL on Jan 1st! Loving it so far! Lots of fun beaches to check out. I hear the summer will be brutal!  :cheers:

Xbrit, across the bay north of Bradenton is my favorite beach of all time. Fort Desoto Beach may not be the prettiest, but it holds the most memories for me. I spent one or two weeks every summer in St. Pete, and long days every day at that beach, as a young lad.

Here's a photo of me as a young Jinx cutting my birthday cake under the pines at Fort Desoto, circa 1977.  Good luck in Bradenton!

Being a Florida resident for the past 26 years I can attest that the Florida Summers are no more Brutal then most of the Country, but they last April through October. You will have to get used to tge copious amount of rain durring the summer and the hordes of Yankees and Canadians who flood the state durring the winter.

Congrats on your new journey xbrit. As for violator I hope u enjoy the beaches during summer. Lots of girls to choose. Sometimes at least 3 different ones per week. In NY I enjoy the beach during the summers. Best time to clown around and let yourself go. Pool parties to BBQ's to heavy beer drinking.  :salute

Ive lived in S.W. Florida 26 years , please don't come here its horrible , Ive been doing my best to stop the flow of people from the north (anywhere north of Orlando is considered North) , we have alligators , salt water crocs , sharks , snakes , spiders , lightning capital of the world , mosquitoes that carry virus's , red tide , old people that can renew their drivers license through the mail , everyone caries a gun and its ok if your neighbor shoots you as long as they say it was self defense , you'll need to learn to speak Spanish , Portuguese , Creole just to function when going out .... so reconsider  :t

Quite agree.  Four years in Brandon (early 70's) while attending USF.  My favorite beach was in front of the condos at the south end of the Coquina causeway bridge.  It looked like private property (but it wasn't - :cool:). Never crowded.

Should be back online soon, moved into the new place but still getting stuff put away yet. We finally settled on a place in Ellenton, FL. Yes it is a 55+ community and we like it.

hahahaha Ellenton Florida hahahaha , just kidding its a great place , close enough to Tampa/St Pete but far enough away  :cheesy:
