Hey Folks,
Hoping for some assistance. I have been flying and using TrackIR for quite a long time with very few problems. Just this past week, for reasons unknown, my ability to lean left or right (or forward/backward) just randomly stopped working mid-flight. I restarted AH and TrackIR, popped back into the game and it seemed fine. Then after taking off, it stops letting me lean/move again. I pop out and check TrackIR and it's tracking on all axis. This has been going on for about a week.
The only changes I've made lately to my setup is I got a Saitek X55 Rhino HOTAS (yay!). It works great and I haven't seen this issue with other games. I've also got Win 10 but have had it for a while with no problems... other than my games minimizing randomly (another issue)....
Help help? I can't see who's behind me anymore :)

Is there a light on behind you?

No I should have mentioned that outside of game TrackIR is detecting all the movement normally

In the game, on the clipboard, check the trackir setting are correct in the "View" section.

Sometimes I'll find that my TIR has changed profiles on me even tho I: A) have a profile checked as exclusive and B) don't even have a key mapped to change it with.
Every time mine is doing funny things like that or seems to have a different curve setup I'll look and that's the problem. I reset it to my preferred profile and all is right with the world.
I could just delete all the other profiles and it wouldn't have one to try to switch too. But I experiment with them.

I'm an X55 and TrackIR user also, and have experienced EXACTLY what you describe. In my case it occurred more and more often and finally the restarting of AH (beta) did not seem to fix it.
I checked AH2, and the problem did not occur there. What seemed to fix it for me was copying over my .jsm files from AH2 settings folder to AH3. I haven't played with it enough to know that its fixed for sure. I suspect I caused it while mapping some new key of button on the X55, but don't know when it started or how.
I wonder if you could save your existing .jsm files by renaming them and force the game to create new ones for you?
Keep me posted, I'll do the same.

Thanks folks for chiming in. Oboe, you might be on to something there! Now that you mention it I was messing around with button assignments (in game vs. out in the stick software) prior to when that started. I mean nothing crazy but I was trying to get full use out of the 8 million buttons I now have.
I'll try your suggestion tonight and report back - thanks again!

Hey Oboe: I may have it solved! I have only tried it offline but I was able to 'break it' and then 'fix it' at will. Here is what I did:
- Renamed the .JSM file
- Opened game and went to map the controller
- Noticed that 'move front/back' was mapped to an analogue dial - I unmapped it
Seems that as soon as you try to map the movement functions, it conflicts with the fact that TrackIR is also trying to do that and it poops out (technical term). As soon as I cleared that mapping, it started working again. I'm going to try it online now and will report back if something else goes wrong.
Thanks again!
