Post by: oakranger on March 18, 2016, 06:43:26 PM
I am trying to get it setup to my laptop but not sure how.  Anybody using this model and have it set up to their computer?

which windows do you have?

EDIT,

WOW! Was just reading up on the setup procedure and it doesn't look easy. You need adapters, additional programs installed. Here is the user guide I found

From what I have read already it looks like that headset has a significant CPU load, which is something you don't want I think.

I love my turtle beach headset, but I have an older set. Mine is the blah blahBA2 or something or other. It has the 1/8 inch jacks for front, rear, sub, and mic. I've had it for years and the sound is great with them. Like the CH products line, quality has suffered as they have moved forward.  :cry

HPA2 http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/headsets-legacy/ear-force-hpa2/237

That was the first one of theirs that I had. It lasted a good long while and I have yet to find one that sounds as good. I liked it so much that I bought the next one on their line, which not only sounded worse and snapped at the join after the third time I put it on my head, but was much more expensive.

Turtle beach has become absolute garbage with flashy marketing.

The one I had been researching is a USB set with a massive software program, and not the 5.1/7.1 set.
