Title: Fade to black

Puter dummy here.....will be playing AH2 and poof....black screen, I can hear the game still running but have to reboot puter. Any ideas on where to start looking? Thanks and  :salute ( btw this just started last friday )

Check the fan motor on the graphics card. It may be locked up and the card is over heating and shutting down.

Video card overheating perhaps?

How clogged up is the fan(s) and heatsink on the video card, on the other computer fans, if clogged/dirty at all?

Air clean every 2 wks or so, all fans seem to be running ok, will log into game and see if vid card over heats.....like i said, have to start some where, thanks gents :salute

Het related issue is what I would start with.  If that does not appear to be the case, then it could be power related.

It might also be the vertical sync frequency is not quite right.  I see a lot of computers which do not have the monitor INF file installed, which could lead to a mismatch in the various timings of a monitor.  Long term, it could damage the monitor.
