Title: Good Fight Over P10

Good fight at P10 fellas.  :cheers: :cheers:

We were escorting the pigs on a wing into P10, when we ran into a boat load of Ki-43s.  Not sure how I made it out of there... got tangled with some KI-43s and by the end I was heading the wrong way, being chased, and all by myself... lol :joystick:.  Fortunately some of my teammates came back to save my bacon.  Nice Flyin on both sides :aok.  Fun night!   :salute

Well done to you fellas.  We were able to drop bombs and get 4 of 8 of the SBD's home safely.

As lead for LCA in Ki-43's we were expecting the Allies to come in higher, so once spotted it took us some time to dive down (Ki-43 loves to creak and groan in a dive).  Once we got low enough it was hard to pick out the SBD's for all the P-40's hovering around.  Nice close escort and a great fight.  :salute

Lucky you just had Ki-43 with the 2x bb they have they take a lot of rounds just to shot you down.

We (SBD's) actually did come in higher but the appearance of Ki's west of our flight path forced an early turn into target and I had my guys dive off about 5-6k in alt for speed so we could make the target.  We were all cranking at least 400 MPH by the time we saw your icons behind us.  Whew!  White knuckle moments.....

Good move. A Ki-43 will lose parts around 400 IAS.

I got within icon range of an SBD a couple times, but the P-40E escorts forced a defensive turn and that was that.

Good job by the allies.  :salute
