Earnie Els, the big easy, Is officially legend. A true peoples champ. Sure, slipping on your yacht and breaking your leg at the peak of your career was a fault that many common folk could have heartfelt understanding; but now he has out done himself. The big easy has just officially seven putted, from 3 feet, on the first hole of the Masters. A feat reserved for me, Ernie has now lowered the bar once again for us peons to, just for a second, feel good about the glorious yet somewhat sad fact we are simply human.
:salute Ernie, we luv U :aok

Now I don't feel bad about the 11 I scored on a par in a tournament a few weeks back. First one out of bounds left, second followed it, third was lost in rough stuff. So, I was 7 off the tee. Duffed a chip, got the second chip on and 2 putted. Worst round of my life. But then the next day, despite all the razzing from my teamates, 3 buddies and I along with Zack Byrd, a PGA Pro, won the Pro Am that followed.
Worst day on a course followed by the best.
Crazy game.

This is why I love golf! The frustration of the game reminds even the giants that they are mere mortals.

Not the first time we have seen this from Ernie :)

I just saw a comment made on a site that Els is being coached by a guy who specializes in putting technique for Parkinsons patients and there is speculation he may be afflicted. Hope not.

Ernie always exuded class and I have read the same thing. Continuing his career is a middle finger to the condition and I applaud him for it.

Sad story. Ernies playing great golf, I hope the speculation is drivel.
of the seven putts missed Ernie only tried twice. his last put was illegal but considering the circumstances nobody cares. kinda like in a real game when a guy takes four shots to get out of the trees then picks his ball up and throws it into another tree then kicks it out of the woods and calls it four stokes. fair enough!

It just goes to show that there are many more shots that I make that can make the PGA highlight reel.
I hate this game. By the way, what's our tee-off time for tomorrow?

We tee off at ten. Please bring your man card and wifes purse. both will be used as currency. :salute
