Title: P-51B Malcolm Hood - Coloring Query

It appears to me the leading edge of the hood is opaque but not metal.

Any guidance on the proper coloring for the Malcolm Hood?   This example is DING HAO! (James Howard's P-51B) after the mod.   


Should I just make it all OD and let the "glass" parts of the modeling do the rest?

Do you have any with it fully closed?   The only one I have is too fuzzy to be of much help.

WoW!!

The company who reconditioned this P51B got the gunsight correct. The vast majority of P47\51b,c that were shipped to England had their N3 gunsights pulled out and replaced with Barr&Stroud MKII at the staging locations where they were made ready for the ETO or MTO. No P51b\c ever had an N9 mounted from the factory like ours in AH2. The first P51d shipments to England did have the N9 mounted from the factory. So our P51b has been field modded with more than a Malcom hood.
