Watched it yet? Pretty illuminating. Not as good as Spotlight but pretty darn good. Be advised though the protagonists are no-life money trading, financial sector, sweetheartbag types. The only one who isn't completely nauseating is the autistic dude, if only because he decides to start contributing to society rather than leeching off of it in the end.

I was pleasantly surprised they could make it into an interesting movie. I think they got some of the LIBOR stuff wrong, but I'm not going to nitpick.

The book is excellent.
The movie is OK -- good if you haven't read the book, but not nearly as good as the book.
It is good because of the information in it, only so so as a movie without regard to its informational content.
Other finance movies that are better movies include Margin Call and Boiler Room.

I thought it was good. Just watched it last week. I enjoyed how it was presented. I would like to read the book.

The book is really great.
It is by Michael Lewis, who has written a bunch of other excellent books, mostly (but not all) on finance industry. Sounds dull, but they are hoot, and he is an awesomely talented writer.
Liar's Poker is what got him his start.
There is also Boomerang and the Big Short.
