There is a post in the hardware forum about this, but I think it'll get more looks here, and it's an important deal in the sim community IMO.
TM put out a private invite only show that's on today at that air/space museum on the carrier, sim site guys, media, some guys involved in the DCS online server squads, etc. One guy is going to post pics live from the event on his twitter account tonight, if anyone cares to see what TM is offering now. I hope they are coming out with an improved Warthog sort of deal, maybe some LCD screens too, that's the rumor anyhow.

He'll be posting pics on that twitter account in the next few hours and throughout the evening event.

Well, that was anticlimactic.
No new high end HOTAS from TM until 2020 or beyond. Just some new el-cheapo crapsticks with a new throttle. Obviously they are targeting the low end consumers, anticipating selling lots of those things when Star Citizen goes live in the nearish future.
Lame, with a super capital L.
All they need to do IMO is a little r and D and a bit of $, fix the gimbal/sticktion issue with the Warthogs, put that tech/stuff inside a new housing like the F18 SH or maybe even the F15 (somewhat similar), and poof, they'd have a bunch of happy campers, especially with some beefed up internals or gadgetry.

Shame they were unwilling to do a custom Star Citizen HOTAS when CIG asked them about it. That left Saitek as the only party interested, and their quality reputation will need to be overcome. Assuming they even survive as a going concern to produce any.
It isn't a new stick at all though, its a reskinned T16000M, which has a pretty decent reputation for the money. And I imagine the new throttle will be better than the CH Pro Throttle at least.
There's also rudder pedals that were leaked on Amazon earlier, but those pedals looked very uninspiring: http://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-Flight-Rudder-Pedals-Playstation-4/dp/B015PII6YI .

Been waiting almost a month for this (since that invite was posted around the place), very disappointing, hoping VKB will make enough gunfighters so I can get one!

I have an older T16000m and it is probably the best stick under $100. The stick is very precise and perfectly balance in terms of spring-back. I wish they would put this mechanism into some other products like their Hotas-X (which had a great layout, but the stick mechanism was sloppy as hell). Therefore, a stand alone throttle for the T1600m is a welcome addition.

I'm very happy with my X-55. I prefer it's military look over the X56's scifi.

The throttle doesn't look to bad, I agree, might be a good alternative to the CH throttle.
The pedals - oh em gee, look how narrow they are, must be a woman's only pedal set or some deal, wth TM.
-
What's up with the CH throttle?
-
Nothing is up with it that I know of, it's just that there are few stand alone USB throttles out there to purchase, so if somebody say finds a stick they like, of which they are many, if they want to get a throttle, they aren't limited to just the CH one anymore. I know a lot of guys start out with just a single joystick, and get used to it and either don't want to change to an entirely new HOTAS setup such as TM, Saitek, or CH, or can't afford a whole new setup. The TM throttle has the little rudder flappy things by the looks of it too, which the CH doesn't.
