The local rag ran a nice little story today about my plant and our refueling outage we're finishing up.

Worked at a nuclear chemical plant as an inspector.  Most contaminated place I've ever been.

Nuclear jobs are the safest in the world.

Pity having full time jobs is seen as a bonus.

It should be the norm.

You are probably referring to someone who works as an operator at a nuclear power plant.  Uranium is mined in TN, refined and enriched in IL and KY through a very dangerous process, and then sent someplace else to be turned into fuel rods.  Lots of cancer deaths and even some catastrophic deaths at the plant I worked at.  Nuclear power is not all rainbows and butterflies.

There is no energy source known to man that is all rainbows and butterflies.

All of it requires industrial production, which has its dangers, waste byproducts, and risks.  Also, the choices made have wider repercussions in the economy and world that have impact on lives as well.

That's our Unit 2, Unit 1 is even smaller  :D
It's definitely small than Perry, OH.  I was spoiled there!

Ethical scientists know that butterflies cause hurricanes and rainbows are an illusion. Not viable sources of energy, just more propaganda from big oil "scientists" shills.
