Entered offline game and when mouse is moved, game disappears from desktop, status changes from app to background process. Had to use task manager to shut down. Screenshot and DX report attached. Event messages at end of DX report. Windows 8.1 Pro x64

From the cv deck in F3, auto ack looks like it is launching salvos of tiny claw fighters then white triangles between normal tracers at the drones. It is very dark, gamma is not adjustable. Sometimes it looks like your fighter is shooting video artifacts instead of tracers. While rilling in an F4u, a triangular artifact rotated with the canopy, then stayed un position next to the canopy until I towered.

Entry into the tower is still delayed at the finished loading bar for almost 30 seconds. Exiting is normal. Screen shots do not seem to work in either dx version of the game for me.

Tracers off firing into water or ground no indication of hitting either, with tracers on, hitting water has indication of red lines, firing into the  ground get white triangles, also with a long burst of tracers will get white triangles instead of the tracers.
With all settings same as DX9 frame rate is 5 to 10 frames less with DX 11.

Graphics look great with DX11 was able to adjust gui interface.
note: all in offline mode.

Didn't quite understand what I had last night.  The DX11 version does start and does appear to run.  I was able to get into offline mode, fly a plane, and exit with no crashes.

In a previous post I describe the Sun having 6 lines through it.  I fixed that by disabling star burst.

However I still couldn't exit the game from the clipboard.  The first time it crashed. This time I quit game using task Manager. Ctrl/Alt/Del

Updated and launched game OK.

Tilde key to alter message window size not functional, though it is mapped.

No gunsights visible in any of the planes I spawned in.

Old AH planes (Tempest, Ki.61, Me.163) have instrument dials that fade out and disappear from instrument panel, depending on head position (I'm using Track IR)

Newer planes - have same problem except that its just the dial needles, not the entire instrument dial face that disappears depending on my head position.

Drop paratroops twice, first time heard "Geronimo!" only once, after all troops had departed, next time didn't hear it at all.

No issues,much,.. no problem launching at all! It even let me exit from clip board. There was about a 30 second delay when I chose to enter the hanger though. I know, just wanted to know if it let me in...YES SIR!

Update ok, no issues launching.

At takeoff, there's smoke in the cabin. Doesn't show on video.
The shadows of the clouds flicker, see video.
Glares show as asterisks, see image.
ALT-S doesn't create screenshots, used print screen for this one.

i got the oposite shooting on water and land I can see real sprites.  tracers are still hard to see.  frames increased while flying low on ground from before.

I went to full frames flying low after flying around for a while.  30 seconds or so.  think something is really slow to load.

Aircraft had no working dials and no gun sights.
Some trees when zoomed in on went black.
The light is working the shadows so dark it was difficult to see the cpit details.
I nosed down away from the sun and for a few moments everything outside of the cpit went a bright yellow-white

Now, this time reporting on the right thread:

Update ok, no issues launching.

The shadows of the clouds didn't flicker unlike in the DX9 version, at least not this time. Tested that on a couple dozen fields all over the map, flew below the clouds when there were some near.
Glares show allright, again unlike in the DX9 version.
ALT-S doesn't create screenshots.
The first time Alt-Tab returned to an off position frameless window. Several Alt-Tabs didn't fix it, logging out of the arena and back in fixed it for the rest of the session.
In the evening sun the shadows of trees started from a transverse line relatively far from the trees. The parallel bottom lines looked very unnatural compared to the rest of the virtual world. The morning shadows were normal.
Oh, and there was nothing on the gun sight glass. No crosshair at all.

Going to select field gun from Task Group, and only was able to see a blank canvas.  None of the usual representations of ships or gun positions.

double clicking ahbeta11 in "my computer" results in message ... D3DCOMPILER_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling ...

Started Offline ok.
Aircraft had no gun sights, funny lil pyramids for tracers, when shooting at field guns from a me-109. Video would freeze for several seconds, randomly.

DX11 loads OK.
Sitting in the tower, DX11 has higher FPS than DX9, by a significant amount.
Hard to tell exactly by how much because it got pegged on 60, while DX9 was in the 40-49 FPS range.

What about DX12? Would that mean I am running Ah version 11? Never mind I see the new 11.

I had posted on DX9 before I realized there were different threads. The previous posts were for DX9.

The controls locking are with DX9. Also the sun looking like an asterisk is same version.

DX11 is worse...
1) no gun site in 38j
2) sky flickers with props turning when looking forward/up 45 deg
3) can see in front of me through artificial horizon indicator

I downloaded and ran the MS DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)  installer for all three versions of DX, 9, 10, and 11. Now my DX11 fps is higher than before. In the DX11 version I was getting lower FPS than the DX9 version. I wonder if the guys reporting fantastic FPS higher than in the DX9 version are also running Win10. It is worth a shot if you are getting lower FPS in the DX11 version than the DX9 version.

My OS is Win7 Pro 64bit.

If your computer has DX12, it's a modern one and you can run both the 9 and 11 versions. XP only has DX9 so the users of that OS can't run the DX11 version. Very few games support DX12.

Cockpit is off center.

Tracers occasionally show up as large artifacts, sometimes as triangles and with 40 mm cannons from the HurriIID they looked more like red ] bracket shapes as well.

DX11 launched just fine.  Flew a p-38 and drove a tank without issue with exception of odd graphics here and there as was expected.  excited the game without issue.

The coolest odd graphics was the P-38J's artificial horizon gauge showed the real horizon in the gauge kind of like a periscope or a view port.

Is it worth backing up my settings and terrain projects to try a full install or is the .dll lurking here somewhere and I missed it?

fyi, when I tried to install DirectX 11, the installer said I already have it on my system.

Don't change anything on your system easycore, this was they type of issues I was looking for. I can fix it for the next patch.

doh!  :O

HiTech, a few of us, me included ran the June 2010 Runtime installer..  It did stop that error for DX11 version.... but where does that leave us, as far as useful beta test data?  We artificially stopped the glitch, but we altered the part of our systems that was catching it??

Sorry, I went to MS and read the MS Direct 3D 11 features manual and other components of it. Upon reflection it seemed like a good idea to run the DX 2010 user runtime install. That improved my FPS with the DX11 version of the game. I suspect those with the least problems and better FPS results are on Win10.

And then MS came out with a Feb 2013 update for Win7 sp1 for Direct3D 11.1. , Article ID: 2670838

Since the beta executable for DX11 runs on my PC, I suspect I won't need a KB update for Direct3D 11.1.

DX11 version launches OK in offline mode.  :aok

Exit from program is a bit buggy: two copies of the clipboard, and mouse cursor only visible on window border.
