Title: Stats on my mass mailing to old players
Post by: Brooke on May 14, 2016, 01:41:05 AM: As part of my ongoing quest to get people into Scenarios (and if you aren't signed up yet for the June scenario, you *know* what you should do!), I have sent out a mass mailing to people who played in any Scenario over the past few years. I sent about 800 e-mails.

Of those, about 10% are dead addresses, and so far (it's been a couple of days since I sent it), about half the people I sent mail to opened the mail.

I've gotten some replies from some folks who have been out of the game for a while, and here and there are some folks who are going to come back and give things a try after some years away.

Alas, Krusty isn't one of the ones coming back. You all will have to look back with nostalgia on his curmudgeonliness.

I know you are short on Axis. When I walk on I will be open to be where you need me, bomber or fighter.

Brooke does not give in easily. Folks are slow to sign up.... It's simply another challenge.

Wondering if that Scenario was where my wingman had me set as white and lost vis on me in the snowy terrain. LOL We were talking but he could not locate me. I ended up on the deck with a mix of three 190s and 109s.

We still laugh about that. Good times, good times!

I sent it to both recent and not recent players -- basically, all scenario participants in the past few years.

I get so much spam everyday I usually scan down the list then delete them as a block and had missed seeing this one! Now moved to the safety of my Aces High folder. :aok

like shuffler said, signing up means making a commitment and I just cant do that. most times I don't even remember about it, til the arena is locked and then it doesn't matter anyway.

Squads in SEA don't carry over to any other arena except maybe FSO. I'm also a one man squad but participate in nearly every scenario.

Individuals are also very welcome in Scenarios.

I will try to make it also a frame or two but the time frame for east coast makes navigating wife ack deadly. :uhoh

IIRC, LYNX got a job and made a commitment to his wife and family.

Boxboy was last seen half naked chasing a possum around the back 40 of his property in the Carolinas mumbling something about needing to get a piece of tail.

It runs every Saturday in June, show up time is 3 pm Eastern in Special Events II arena.
