Title: Show me your fishing boat
Post by: Skyguns MKII on June 21, 2016, 10:12:32 PM
Took on a 12ft 79 Sears gamefisher as a project. Bought it from Craigslist with trailer for 60 bucks. I'm in need of ideas before I start working on the deck so I'm curious to see what boats you could show off to me. Also if any of you know of a good product for removing gelcoat without damaging the fiberglass I'm all ears. At the moment I'm sanding away prepping for a new paint job.

Doesn't get good mileage on the highway. And I have issues getting to a good depth in shallow ponds.  Wife keeps yappin "Yer scarin the fish every time ya enter da water"

So I took out her cushy seat and put in a metal chair.

I was searching for a shop here in Ontario to blast/paint my truck frame , it's getting bad driving 4-5 months /year on salted roads; a couple of videos i found posted by this shops, maybe helps with boats also; dry ice blasting  should work on any surface . I'm going to use POR15, works well for metallic surfaces, i used this product before http://www.por15.com/, good product but expensive , 200cad $/gallon.
