Red strike force!! Looks like JG11 had a field day then JG54 mopped up in those Stukas. Been doing FSO a long time and can't remember the last time Ju87's were the big killers with 90+ objects. :rock

It was hard fought by both sides. We picked up the Spits and Hurricanes early in 10-9. Prolonged fluid combat followed with both sides taking losses from the deck to 25K. The RAF simply would not allow us a free moment to locate the task force shipping. Harassed by one group after another until finally shipping was located and word passed back to the 412th and 54th. It was well played and very hard fought with the RAF hanging in there to the last man.

Do you know how hard it is to hold back 17 Pigs? I kept most just south of the TG's holding for some visual on heavies. Finally Stukas! So i turned them loose to engage. Those 303's go way to fast! Most of us had to rearm after that. A few made some quick passes on The 111's but they ran dry as well. Fun frame and looking forward to next week!

I would not characterize it as mopping up, any time you run unescorted 87s against 8 plus spits it ain't no mop up, unless we are talking about what ends up on the 87's cockpit floor :) The pigs caught us between where jg11 was and the 4 109s escorting the 111s 6 to 8 k behind so most of our run in was unescorted and under attack, thank god they only had BBs. We sank 5 ships and did mucho damage, but got chopped up doing it. Only two survived from JG54 when the pigs found the ju87 feeding trough! Helped the 111s behind us though as we kept getting lower. Exciting white knuckle night! Good fight.
