PT boats do not launch torpedos in Beta version.

Just tested it offline. Pick a PT along with torps. Spawn out and get it up to full speed. Be in the captain's position and press the fire global secondary button. Each press launches a torp.

HTC, I checked the online help and the AH Trainers site, and couldn't find the nuts and bolts how to for the PT anymore. Who am I to talk, after 14 years I just press buttons and look in the key mapping and jsm files.

Bustr the training site is still under construction.  If anyone writes a how-to for PT boats I'd be happy to consider it for inclusion. Any pictures should be from the beta version.

I wish PT boats would have depth charges but I guess that's for another thread and forum.

Actually I was thinking more of using the depth charges for attacking ships.  In the PTO, the majority of the time the PT Boats used depth charges was to attack ships and barges, found to be one of the more effective ways of sinking a barge.  The PT Boat would approach at a high rate of speed, with the depth charge to 5 feet and as the PT Boat would near the ship or barge, they'd turn sharply and "toss" the depth charge towards the ship/barge and get the heck out of there.  Reading about one PT Boat (PT 105 by Dick Keresey) from MT Boat Squadron 5, the only time the captain used depth charges was on a destroyer and on barges.

Bug1: PT Boats still get hung up on my bridges. I think it's because they are lower then the new default bridges but even with those, you must cut the engine and coast under or else take damage. The PT Boat jumps up on top of the roadway and apparently hangs there or falls depending on the height?

Bug2: In a boat, you use reverse and rudder to help spring off the dock or to turn around quickly from a dead stop position. From the initial spawn, the rudder seems to work in reverse. Allowing for prop crawl, when I'm in revers and use left or right rudder, the bow should turn in the opposite direction from my perspective looking at my screen. It worked correctly in AH2.

I couldn't resist posting this screen shot. It's just too cool.

This underneath may be fixed for the next patch, I set the min clearance to 2 feet. I belive it is the same issue as the storch had in the hangar.
