Bah! New music.. old music.. true coolness is timeless, and it's rare.

That song always gives me the urge to go downtown to a hotel lobby and sip scotch at the bar and eventually buy drinks for the inevitable traveling woman who's a long way from home.
But this song piques an appetite for something not scotch.

Ah, young Grace. . . .
I like this one the best, though:

For Japanese girl power, I love the girl drummer in this one -- Yoko Fukuda of the Boom Boom Satellites.

She did the closing credits theme for the last terminator movie.
Also cute.

For the metalheads, hard to beat Lzzy Hale and Halestorm bringing the DIO......just needs vivian campbell's razzle dazzle guitar.
Who says Buckethead only shreds with no feel or soul?..........or Funk?
Written, recorded, mixed, and mastered in less than 3 days (likely done in one day)...........probably one or two takes per song though many of his songs are recorded in a single take.

They did on the last two releases. Don Slater is already being approached by some big names in Europe who are attending festivals. The fact they walk up to Don for the first time and call by his name, is mind boggling to him.
They are a good band who after (the video I posted) that album was released, their drummer quit. Shannon Lucas (Black Dahlia Murder) volunteered to drum and tour with them on their sophomore disc. They now have a good kid behind the kit and they have yet another tour coming up in Oct.

That was his intent...........to try to play something hendrix would be playing today since jimi was headed toward funk and jazz.
Icepac... how would u know? His roots WERE in Jazz and Blues! Who knows what direction his talent would have taken him if not for his untimely death :rock Ram

It's not hard when you see who he was playing with right before he died.
There's a good book that details all the personnel appearing in his jam sessions.

I guess Im too old to appreciate this crap......err stuff, :devil tho the Boom Boom stuff wasn't bad.
Going to see Australian Pink Floyd tomorrow night. Don't think I'll get to see Pink Floyd but they say these guys are very good. My son is taking me, and with a 30 year difference in our ages I find it really cool that we both can enjoy the same music. :rock

It was saturday last week I was hanging out at Johnson's creek We were partying in my van When we were hassled by the man
Jamming to Foghat on my 8-track With a case of malt liquor and a bong in back from out of nowhere came the man in blue I thought we were busted but the pig was cool
The pig was cool I knew him from school The pig was cool
We were at the Journey show The first three songs we were hanging low Then the band played "Wheel in the Sky" Me and my babe started getting high The dude next to me said gimme a hit So I passed him the joint I already lit When I saw his badge I thought this is it But he just said to me, "man, this is good toejam"
The pig was cool

Sometimes I like to go to Soundcloud and see what kind of profanity I can find this time:

Should have told me, I'd probably could have gotten you backstage. :( Lorelei McBroom, who sang backup for the Gilmour lead Pink Floyd, now sings backup for them. I am extremely close to both of the McBroom sisters. Especially Durga.
