This could get interesting.
Could this possibly lead to a Gulf War coalition of nations to expel them out of those islands like Saddam out of Kuwait?

Nope, not going to happen.

If anything it'll give the west an excuse to 'sanction' china and default on their debt. International Bankers are losing control of fractional reserve lending and people are catching on... nothing like a good ol' war or boogeyman to give people their 3 minutes of hate and forget about their troubles. :old: :noid :bolt:

China actually has nukes so no one is doing anything.

Coupled with the fact that quite a few countries in that region don't really believe the US has the political will or ability to protect them from China and will cower when faced by an aggressive China.

The Phillipines are nuts tbh, you never know what they might do. Then again they are corrupt as hell, a nice wad of cash would silence them pretty easily.

"Tui bei tu (simplified Chinese: 推背图; traditional Chinese: 推背圖; pinyin: Tuī bči tú) is a Chinese prophecy book from the 7th-century Tang dynasty. The book is known for predicting the future of China, and is written by Li Chunfeng and Yuan Tiangang (袁天罡). It has been compared to the works of famous western prophet Nostradamus.[1] Well known in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, it was long banned in the People's Republic of China under the Communist party for superstition (one of the “Four Olds”), though it has since re-appeared in street-side book stalls in the 1990s as a bestseller.[1]"

"Flyers are not birds, swimmers are not fish,
A war does not depend on soldiers. It's a game of technology.
Millions of miles of deadly smoke, on top a mushroom and at bottom a fountain.
A sight out of people's imagination. Big trouble not solved, but greater trouble arrives."
An image of 2 soldiers, each standing on a continent. The 2 continents are separated by the ocean. They do not use their hand held weapons. They only spew fire at each other. Two fish jump out of the ocean, and two birds are flying against each other.

No sane person wants a war, and I'm not sure how much our problem this should be.
However, looking at the map, China's claim is sorta crazy. Once you accept crazy, where do you draw the line later?
When they claim the waters off California?
