Title: Don't Move Controls So Rapidly
Post by: ImADot on July 15, 2016, 11:03:00 PM
I've NEVER gotten this message before, until just now. I was in the middle of a fight flying my favorite Hurri Mk1, not even close to moving the controls quickly, got the message and augered in because the inputs got locked out by this dumb "feature".

Yeah, I'm a bit upset.  :furious

Happened to a squaddie in the 412th as well. He managed to survive after three joystick calibrations in flight!

Dumbest coding in the game.

Unfortunately the game needs it, people already do pretty eradic manuevers which come off as lag, not manuevering to avoid the shot.

How old is your stick?? Could it be wearing out???

it serves a purpose but there were multiple people having the exact same issue last night. I'm wondering if the network connection was super flaky for some.  I know one of my squadmates was radio beeping like mad when it happened to him.

It's there to stop stick stirrers and it works.  :aok   I think this was connection related since if happened to so many people at the same time.

My setup is in my signature, and is less than 10 years old. It's well calibrated and operates smoothly. I'm not ham-fisted, and never had any issues with control before.

How was your framerate at the time?  Were you in the clouds by chance with the game stuttering maybe.  That is the only time I've gotten that message when my game is stuttering.  I assume it is because it isn't picking up all my control inputs and thinks I am jumping around when it is really my low framerate that makes the game thinks I'm jerking the stick.

My frame rates were my typical 60, forced by v-sync. I was in a turn fight under 1000' at some airfield (which is why I had no time to wait and recover from the input lockout.

Every time it happens, it is always at very slow speed when trying to use every bit of turn I can get out of the P-38 to get a shot.  I have been told the code reduces the trigger point with slower speed but if it does, it is not much.
