For the last few days I've had issues reading this board. I may be able to open a thread, but going to the next page will take forever. Sometimes stopping the page from loading and then reloading it helps, but not always. Other pages seem to work fluently. PingPlotter shows massive packet loss at hop 9, so that would explain the pages not loading. What I'm interested in is what causes the issue there.

Same here. Tried to run an extended analysis on plane stats, but couldn't get the all the data because of this. :old:

I had the same issue for a couple days. My connection slows down in Virginia today but loads normally. I assume that's flood related.

Actually Bizman, the problem, for you, is the return trip from the server. Hop 9 is just a router ignoring ICMP ECHO messages. See the last hop? Whenever packet loss is shown on the last hop, the actual problem is on the return trip, which normal tools like traceroute, tracert, or Ping Plot will not be able to show.
There have been severe storms, which almost always messes with the telecommunications infrastructure. I cannot run a trace back to you until I get into the office. If the problem still exists, I'll be able to tell where it is.

I spent half an hour on the phone with Frontier yesterday evening. The guy in India wanted me to sign up for "Premium Tech Support" before he'd let me talk to level 2 tech support. I hate Frontier and I'm West Coast.

Thank you. I suspected weather related issues, but our news don't bother telling about those unless there's a major storm/flood/whatever threatening entire cities. Nice and Turkey have been dominant in the foreign news.

It works much better now, hop #9 still losing all packets. Some slowing down here and there between posts but that's almost normal.
