I have a AMD Radeon 6700 series graphics card. I am on Win 10. My computer guy says all my other things in the tower are more than enough to run the game. I have everything moved to the right on in the graphics in the open clipboard. The sands are real white and the wings on my P47 , the light blue is washed out, even when not turned toward the sun. Do I need to upgrade my card.

What do you set your in game gamma to?

I am ignorant with computers. What is gamma. I have been saying graphic card, but I mean video, I guess they are the same thing. :headscratch:

Open the clipboard and type the dot command .sliders into the text buffer. This let's you adjust how bright the sand and wings are. The settings aren't saved, you need to set it each time you enter an arena.

The Gamma correction slider on the Graphic Detail panel lets you adjust the overall luminance (brightness) of the image, and you can use it to get the best dynamic range (the difference between the lightest and darkest areas) from your monitor. Leaving it at or near 1.0 should work for most monitors, but generally you want to set it so that you're getting both dark blacks and bright whites.

If it is a HD 6750 video card, then you are probably going to have to uncheck all the advanced graphic options. That video card is only marginally faster than the baseline 9800GTX.
Start by unchecking all those options. If you feel the performance is good enough, then start checking options to see which ones you feel your card handle.

Thanks for all the information. :salute

Do you think that setting the shdstr or what ever it is in the .sliders controls would fix that? I turn it down a bit to reduce the glare on plane and hangers.
