The crash to desktop still occurring when right clicking clipboard map and trying to use mouse to change settings like turning off vehicle spawn points

reproduced error twice in the DX9 version and once in the DX 11 version of Beta Patch 36

Auto Import of AH2 settings seems to be working good in both versions DX 9 and DX 11, on my PC anyhow   Win 8.1 Pro

It is happening both in the online arena  Greebo's CraterMA terrain and also in offline practice for both DX versions, confirmed by checking twice each DX version offline as well

The bug has to do with simply hovering over that dialog/popup.  We have a fix and are prepping a release for it now.

I have a problem when i get into an arena the game goes all bright with distorted colors after the latest patch i am not sure if its because i selected yes when i it asked if i would like to bring settings over to the Beta

Is it possible that your video.cfg file that was brought/transferred over from your AH2 settings may have become corrupted? Might try deleting it out of the AH beta settings folder then login to the game and the game will automatically recreate a new one for you....you will just need to reset your graphics settings to your desired liking

Please correct me if it doesn't work like this anymore, like it use to

Has been a while... Successfully downloaded and installed 30 to 33, 33 to 34, 34 to 35 and 35 to 37 with the game updater. Also imported my settings.

Greebo's CraterMA, A5, HE111H, default settings: Tower 33 fps, Field in cockpit 32 fps, in-flight in cockpit 43 FPS.

Partially cloudy, nice floats of altocumulus (?). Single clouds/cloud squares in the edge of the cloud mass jerked.

Bombed A28 town. The houses were shining in the sunlight. They were also flickering a lot. The flickering was more obvious when zoomed through the bomb sight. Both the houses and gun pits did that.

Scenario: Updated with patch and chose option to import AH2 settings. Didn't like results for controller settings. Pretty sure it was something I had done in AH2. Decided to start over and not import settings.

Uninstalled AH3 and downloaded/installed full version 37 choosing not to import settings.

Now when starting online or offline game and sometimes when selecting vehicles/planes/guns in the hangar get single or multiple file errors for files with extension .pw1 in the settings folder (screenshots attached).

Uninstalled and installed AH3 3 times with same result.

made a film in last night's combat challenge.

Edited it down to just the fighting and saved it. It plays back for about 5 seconds and then crashes.
Unhandled exception at 0x0048A8D1 in ahfilm.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x000000F8.


 Unedited films work just fine.  Also when you first open the film viewer, before you do anything, it's playing sounds like the hanger..

Also vox names aren't showing up on film playback, can't tell who's talking.

Also didn't see how long 50% gas would get me in the hanger, was flying Japanese planes for Combat Challenge. So just took 50% and hoped for the best.  I was able to check it on EB6 after takeoff. I flew the Ki43 and the Ki61

I have used DX9 and 11.   In both venues even though I've finished dloading 51 skins 109s and spits, then dloading B17s everytime I've logged on my downloading of skins started with p51d_8.res has arrived, the 27.res then 29.res then I start to dload other skins. I have no idea what this means.  Just wanted to mention this.  This has happened on each of the last 4 times I've logged into BETA when dloading skins automatically.

Still no "reload" sound for the Cruiser 8" guns or the Shore Battery. 17 lb.er and 88's okay.

Ran Updater Patch Beta 35 to 37 w\o a hitch.

Both versions open and exit both online and offline OK.

Beta 37 Dx9 version is running flawlessly on my box. No issues at this time.

Using the latest Crimson 16.7.3 WHQL drivers.

While at an AAA factory at this position: 487531,211,88103,0.0,-30.4,-72.0

FOV = 40.1,  the four briefing room type huts have no damaged building art once they are destroyed.  They do have the artwork for the undamaged object before they are destroyed.  All four appear to be the same as undamaged objects.

Those object numbers are:  C02AAF066, C02AAF067, C02AAF068 and C02AAF069.

Attached is a screenshot of the location mentioned above.  It was taken after the buildings were destroyed.

Updated 35-37 with no problem. Appears stable. GVs still stick to buildings when exiting small V bases

Drove a tank to this position overlooking crater lake and noticed that shapes of mountains to the NE changed dramatically as I panned turret. If I left turret still one of the peaks was constantly moving.

Not sure if to post this as a bug but it has happend to me on a few different occasions when i am in the shore battery upon exiting it or it being destroyed  it has crashed me to desktop

Was just in the Beta in a Tiger 2. I ran into a tree and tried to backup. It went in reverse and stopped. could not turn it in either direction or move forward or back. Up to that point was moving along just fine.

DX9    went to the hangar to select an aircraft.  Chose the P51 D.  Spawned on the runway and all of a sudden I have no input from my Ch Throttle.

The CH Combatstick is fine, the rudders I don't know.  But the throttle has all of a sudden lost all function in the game.   :headscratch:

EDIT:  Found problem.  Was not at computer for  over and hour Win8.1 shut it down.

All manned guns I tested, 37mm and 40 bofors, I had to tweek the rear sight to iron ring center by a smidgen. Unless they were offset on purpose for some range like 2000yds. You are aiming from 2-3 ft to the left or right of the gun. I don't know if waffle set them up to account for the offset zeroed at some range.

A couple of things (probably not limited to beta 37, I probably just didn't notice them until now):

Nearby tank smoke disappears if you select zoom in commander's view or gunsight view.  Tanking last night an enemy covered me with smoke.  In normal commanders unzoomed view I could not see anything but smoke.  But if I went to max zoom, or went into gunsight view, the smoke disappeared.  This has gameplay implications (i.e. enemy couldn't see me, because he was far enough away from the smoke that the bug didn't occur, but I would be able to clearly see him).

The new plane skins are extremely "shiny" (too much so in my opinion) so I was looking more carefully at reflections.  I often see reflections that are physically impossible.  Example: banking left to about or beyond 45 degrees I could see the cockpit panel instruments reflected in the wing.  (Spitfire, not talking about reflections in the nacelles of multi engine planes.)

I noticed that the amount of available video memory is being incorrectly reported.
I have 4096M of available video memory, but it is only showing 3072M on the Ctrl I display.

Not sure if reported but search didn't turn up anything in here.

I encountered a visual bug in the Ki-61 just now.

Look at the gauge above the airspeed gauge in both (yes, I honestly forgot what that gauge is called :o).  Something tells me it's NOT suppose to do that. :noid

It's in both DX9 and DX11, if that will be of any help.


On a side note, I'm running a 970 at absolute MAX (yes, FPS drops to under 30 but hasn't gone lower than 24, if over a town and/or large group of trees).  If you look, you'll see that the game reporting I only have 3G of video ram.  The SS are DX9, but I get the same thing in DX11.

GullGutz, IIRC it's a feature of Windows, not a bug. Again IIRC it should show correctly in the Dx11 version.

They have had it set so you can actually shoot friendlies in Beta. I'm guessing it is still set that way. I'm sure it is just during the testing.

With latest update DX11 mode with HTC Vive, when ever I move my head there is some stuttering or jittering during the movement in the graphics. Once I am not moving my head things are as smooth as glass.


Also while in VR headset, on the actual monitor screen half the  game is shown in a window (the bottom half) which cant be fixed. What happens is when I try to click the mouse to select something in the head set, if the mouse cursor moves off the window on the main screen, I cant select anything. I move the headset aside and get the mouse back on the main game screen. Then I can select stuff in headset again. (i know I have also mapped the LMB to a hotas button but still...fyi.)

When entering an arena and your start position is at a base near the edge of the map, if you move the CBM to the center for instance and then zoom to display the full CBM, the CBM is off center and doesn't snap to the center view. You are forced to drag the map, among other work-arounds.

When selecting a terrain from the list for offline play, or selecting the terrain from the terrain list box for a custom arena, the mouse scroll wheel doesn't work. For one of these two, the mouse cursor jumps when you try to scroll with the mouse wheel.
