Title: Throw back Friday!

FSO - May - 2008 - 500 players going at it over the Channel. This was the very first JG11 feature film. From a time when we were just reaching full Staffel strength (16) and still cutting our teeth in FSO. A fun film showing the early signs of the teamwork the 11th would become infamous for. While we take on and destroy 3 different units of enemy Spitfires without loss - the mission was fraught with strategic mistakes and tactical errors. Still one of my favorite films all time - a fun romp!

I remember how horrible I felt after that one. That was the last time I let 30 heavies get by overhead. Doh!! Good to go back and watch some of the nub mistakes that I have made over the years. Keeps one humble and marks progress as well.

Those were awesome frames when the sky was full!

Pigs will begin operating and training in the Mains on off Fridays at 11 PM EST. The guys are getting serious about breaking things and shooting down planes as a slightly more disciplined pack.

As you meet new players, bring them in to fly with you. Promote FSO.

Perhaps they get a squad started and bring more bodies / pilots to the event. We can and will grow this again.

I am so grateful for the 325th Checkertails and Viper61 for bringing G3-MF (originally VF15 Satan's Playmates) into the FSO world. It is squads like them that promote and bring in more players. Now I have a squad that lives for FSO. It is amazing to see how we evolved.

Satan's Playmates - My first squad and only other squad I was in before doing the all Luft thing. Boy I was a nub and felt like a fat chick at the prom in my 190 among all those Navy killas. But I sure learned a lot from guys like Alpha81, Indiana, BrenJen, brentlo, Mace...and more! Some of the best boys to ever have strapped in here. Left the 15th knowing how I wanted my squad to operate.
