???

If you are asking if someone can skin that for you I'm afraid the answer is no. The reason is the P-47D-11 in AH has already had all its skin slots filled, so HTC are no longer accepting submissions for it. When the P-47 series gets updated at some point in the future all the existing skins will be made obsolete and new skins can be done.

:( for now
will remain hopeful for the future... :pray

If was to happen some pics for it.

Is that the trend for all planes? Wake up one day and your skins are tossed?

When a model gets "updated", there is no way to reuse the old skins. The word "updated" is a misnomer as it is not an updated model at all, but a brand new model, made from scratch. There is no really good way to simply update a 3D game model.
Once replaced/updated. there is no way to remap and old skin to the new model without severe issues which would make the new model look really bad.
We do not like losing those skins either.

Ah, okay. Understood.
Can't quibble with that.
What about creating a subset of the older skins within the game so you have two slots. Is that possible? They'd probably look weird so I suspect NO.

The layout of the skin parts on the bmp is always going to be completely different on the new shape, try to use the old bmp on it and you'd have the upper left wing draped over the RH fuselage or whatever. So a new AH shape always means new skins, the only thing skinners can carry over being the research they did on the old ones.
Try to think of it as an opportunity Vraciu. The current P-51D skin slots are full and the B/C nearly so. If and when the P-51 series gets redone then once you have made a new template you (and other skinners) will have up to 32 skins slots available for each, plus maybe another 32 if HTC make an Allison Mustang variant. Also those subjects already skinned by players no longer in the game would be up for grabs. An AH3 P-51 shape will certainly be way more detailed, have all the new effects to work with, be in 2048 res and have no stretching issues etc.

So the Mustang will be redone also?
Ugh. I don't know if I have the skill or the heart to update these.
I sure can't seem to deal with the viewer controls. I guess practice would help but...I spent a fortune of time using the old system (which was easier). Sigh.

Let me ask another question.
Does the 2048 bitmap, with all things being equal, reduce pixelation effects?
-
Everything will be redone eventually, with the oldest AH1 shapes generally getting priority. I only mentioned the P-51 specifically because that is the only aircraft you are going to be interested in, not because it is likely to be updated any time soon.
2048 res makes everything less pixellated, a lot sharper and more detailed as you have four quarter size pixels replacing each pixel on a 1024 res skin. This only helps for those players running PCs that can handle that res though. Someone running 1024 textures would not only get no benefit from a 2048 res skin but it would actually look a little more blurry to him than a 1024 res skin would.

Not the only one. Just the one I have experience with.
I expect I am through skinning, for whatever that's worth. My reasons are well known. Others can do better than I any way so no loss to the game.
I might try redoing Jo-Baby but that would likely be it.
(Haven't seen any skin updates this tour. Did we skip one?)

The P51 skins wont be redone for something like 5 years. They are already the "newer" version. There are some like the typhoon and the FM2 that have the real old style that will be upgraded long before the ponies get a new update.

Fixed that for you. The Typhoon was updated already, but like you said, many are still AH1 shapes in need of an update.

LOL!! Thanks, I was "thinking" tempest, but typed typhoon

My daughter painted a DC3 cowling to look like that P-47. Here it is in my garage.
