Downloaded fine, took about 6 minutes, updated with out a hitch. Went in to Melee upped an M4, attacked a base then "lost Host connection". Up to that point I had no problems

A lot of folders missing in the new install like settings? Are we supposed to manually copy over entire folders from beta?

I was flying offline shooting at drones and had a situation where two drones were flying one on top of the other and neither icon was visible. I could see the icon to the B24 in front of what appeared to me to be a P38 with no icon. It turned out to be a P38 and 190D with no icons. The no icon shows in the film as well.  I have a film of the flight if that would be of use.

Was reading off and on today about the new download and was excited.


Got home and downloaded. Now I wonder why we tested for so long. It,s nothing like any of the beta. Never had to touch my settings after a few tweaks involving turning everything on the first time I flew in beta.

 This download ls nothing like the nice looking game we were flying in. It looks more like AH II. Not sure why but for some reason my gamma was all the way up. Turned it way down. It is the same terrain we were flying on and looks entirely different.

Disapponted today. Hopefully a patch will restore it soon. I just decided to log. Too long of a day today.

Flew for a couple of hours -- no problems -- then dumped to the arena menu.  Could still hear engine noise, tried to click on the arena but mouse just fired guns.  Alt-f4 to escape.

Ran Pre-Release Patch 0 AHIII Dx11 w\o a hitch. Took approx. 1 hr to download on my connection.

Opened & closed just fine.

AHIII Dx11 runs very sweet on my box (got Crimson 16.8.2 drivers Power Efficiency enabled too) now just like the Beta Patch 21 Dx11 vers did......holding steady 79-80 FPS whether on the ground or in flight w\ driver set to defaults.

WTG!

Downloaded today.

Game freezes after several minutes. Clock stops in tower, nothing moves. No mouse movement.

this has happened to me 3 times, once in ww1 yesterday..another time yesterday and once today with new load..
i could hear coms and game..
I pressed windows key on keyboard
then AH game icon and I was back in game ..still flying..
try that if it happens again..but there is a bug for sure

It should work the same as AH2. Start TIR first then the game. If that's not working look in clipboard/options/preferences/VR and see if disable VR is checked. if you need to load a specific profile set it to "exclusive" or make sure that TIR sees AH3 and the profile is associated with AH3.

AHIII Beta and in Current AHIII release.
No indication of impending GLOC....no tunnel, no blackout....NADA!!

While some may think this is a "good" bug...let me tell you it is not! In the middle of the fight...boom...controls locked...and I've lawn darted more often then I've been shot down!

Ki-61 the cockpit rudder pedals are mixed up. Push right rudder and the left pedal moves forward.

did something change overnight. my frame rates went from 75 to 59. also graphic don't look as good as they did for me last night.

still 75 in ah2.

I had this same problem in the Beta DX11, and it wasn't a problem with DX9.  When I start AH DX11 with TeamSpeak on it crashes immediately, DX9 works fine with TS.  Does anyone else have this problem?

No issues with TS and DX 11.

Do have an issue with losing/not being able to see black out effects.....no tunnel vision, no blackout...  PIA when you GLOC in the middle of a swirling dogfight :(

I do see Redout tho...In my attempts to generate the blackout effects I can push forward and get the red tinge starting...but once I lose the Blackout effects they are gone. 

And its not always.....sometimes works at the beginning, and then are suddenly gone.  Ended up using Disply driver uninstall to wipe my video drivers, installed older driver but no change. Back to most current Nvidia Driver....Geforce 980ti card.

Also in 4k res, you can't see any aircraft outside of icon range....just too small I think.

Great looking game and FPS are surprisingly high.

When this finishes....you can see me trying to get Blackout effects in the below vid.


Edit--Tried DX9 for toejams and giggles...had blackout initially (38L), but then lost it again. Had this same issue in Beta...

At one point last night ENY was 13 and ALL aircraft, vehicles, field guns, boats were ENY 10. 
Was not able to even up in a field gun till ENY dropped below 10.

With VR the stars offline only show in the left eye, not the right. They also appear too big.

Everytime i log in my mic DB boost is set to nothing so no one can hear me. also everytime i tab out and back in it resets to nothing. this a bug or is something not right on my end

Since the last 2 Betas my PC freezes after a few minutes flying. Restart of the whole PC is nessessary, taskmanager can't stop the game. DX9 Version runs fine.

Motorsounds from other planes is just a bad idea. No mussle sound when standing near an ack or in tower is faulty. The view from above is like looking into Toyland.

Clipboard in the CV Hangar blocks a lot of settings. If you shrink it and jump into Shipsguns clipboard gets supersmall.

It's a long way to go yet.

With my Nvidia card forced for Aceshigh11.exe the game will not start. Only get a white window

On the B26 i have found that the icons don't display but on every other gun position they show up and we still appear to have the  lead bomber go down they all go down

alt-tab doesn't work properly, once you alt tab aces high shows as a background process and you can't display the game anymore. I use win10.

Alt Tabbed to desktop and then back in and all was working properly.

I have a few things to show and discuss...

1. I cannot change the size of the radio window; it stretches across 1/2 the screen. How to fix this?
2. When flying bombers in f3 mode, the engine sounds are not present when I have turned down engine sound to less than 30% volume.
3. It would help to label the advanced sounds to understand what some of them are and what they provide in the game experience, such as "Actuators".
4. Would be nice to suggest graphics setting based on video card memory and types.
5. When is it best to use DX11 vs the other version?

i7-4790K @ 4.6ghz
16g PC 2400 Ram
Asus Maximus Hero VII MB
EVGA GTX 1070 SC 8G video card
24in ASUS 1080P 60hz monitor

Pre-release:  So far, so good!  I ran with all graphics turned on to the max and set the FOV at 120; my frame-rate holds steady at 59/60 and I can run with v-sync on or off with no problems what-so-ever.  Not all controls settings transferred over from AH II such as the stick control scaling, but it was easy to re-setup.  You did a really good job here!!

ok. i have raised this one before.   t34. turret suddenly locks up. no way to release it, no reason for it. had to ditch.  I had a cursor on screen. tried h to release it without joy.

houseplants should not stop tanks.

what is a "none" key?

to view /move map I have to bring up the radio to get cursor and then I have to type into radio box to close it. annoying as it all takes time.

runs smoother, sounds are better and in due course it will be good I`m sure

wasnt getting the blackout tunnel after awhile flying the DX11 version. 

Not sure if I alt tabbed or not  but will pay more attention to when and if it happens tomorrow.  Haven't had this issue yet could it be plane type limited???

Thanks, gents.  One of these things, perhaps in combination with exiting TrackIR and restarting it, or rebooting the computer, or running things in different order....whatever, it works now.  Very much appreciate the help.

If it happens again, try:
close AH
close the TIR program
open the TIR program
check to see that it's working in the TIR program, moving the globe and whatnot
open AH again

My TIR occasionally glitches out and stops responding, but the above steps pretty much always get it going again.

With rift cv1

The hangar on the carrier has the clipboard way to close and I couldn't move it. Also the launch button didn't work. I could launch from tower.

My white screen on startup can be worked around by moving the mouse off the window so I can see it then clicking the maximize square.

The game then seems normal.

I got a memory leak which necessitated a hard shutdown after playing for two hours

ASUS I7 2.4 laptop with GTX 870M card.

No Blackout only happens when CTRL I information is OFF and HITECH said that will be corrected next patch.

If you're running Windows 7/10 and have a video card that is DX11 compatible, then you should run the DX11 version of AH3.  If you're still running Windows XP then use the DX9 version of AH3.

Not sure why, but about 15-20 minutes after starting up in the new version, now all the sounds converge to the events of the aircraft I'm flying.  odd, very odd.

A13 tower  automatically gives  texture error messages.   cannot scroll through the hangar,  but you can  click randomly to select a plane.

Then when you take off,  you lose ability to control the text buffer

and as you fly you are unable to control the clipboard map to move it around.

A13  field is currently  poison....

I managed to take off in any plane i selected, but the terrain is not updating, neither my cockpit brightness.  and i cant talk to anyone.    Nor can i see updates on text buffer.


A13  seriously hoses  the game from the momente you step in tower...

Two things!

First, Thanks to HiTech for figuring out the "no blackout indications" bug (this may also be the phantom lockup bug).
You need to have Cont-I (toggles Video card info and frame rate) up (at least on my system) to have the black outs enabled.
Awesome!! No more lawndarts due to unexpected blackouts!

Second--Bloom on graphic detail bug.  If you deselect bloom (was in white 38 and the bloom was BLOOMING CRAZY), it works  as advertised..the first time. If you exit the game and come back in, the bloom is still deselected in the GUI, but the Bloom effect is ON.  If you select it again (turn it on in the GUI) then it goes off.  Essentially Bloom is defaulting on at system startup and has the capability to get out of sync with the visual indication in the GUI.
Work around- deselect all the advanced graphics with the single toggle of "Disable Post Lighting" and then deselect that box. Seems to reset it so GUI is insync with effect.

Nice job with the game!  Pretty awesome interface and graphics!!  Looking forward to flying and making the skies a little more unfriendly:)

well found the problem, was the nivida driver was outdated, installed driver 372.54 now its working weird

I'm late to the whole party and maybe these are known things, but I'm spending a lot of time chasing dots that are there, then suddenly not there, then suddenly a few miles away, etc.

Makes me feel like I'm back in high school talking to a leaf pile... 

Also in the P47's, looking straight up causes awful sound stuttering in my headphones and I can't seem to find a setting that cures it.

OK last night updated and was surprised at how bad everything looked. Logged after 10 minutes.

During the day had a change to read some and this afternoon copied over my settings and skins to my AHIII folder. Now it looks much better. It still does not look as good as the beta was looking. The color is far too bright. Had to lower gamma to about 1/4 to make it look decent. Still cartoonish and not like the beta was but playable.

B26s   I attacked a set of 26s from the stern and shot only the lead buff. Both left and right drones started smoking along with the lead. When the lead went down the number one drone immediately went down. The second drone took only a short burst to kill it too. This seems to be a bug of some sort.

Can some of you try the same thing and see if you get anything like what I saw. If you do or don't get the same thing please report here.

#1   screen locked up twice had to shut dwn manually while in f3 in mossi bombers. Would not accept alt-f4 or ctrl-alt -delete
#2  every attempt at a ditch has ended in crash. I even took off and tried ditch under ideal conditions
#3 went into  controlled dive while pw in  190d could not pull out
#4 clipboard to small to read in 152degree field of view
#5 lose engine noise in f3
 

 bailed and had 51 fly by sounded like the real thing
 tank on tank is much better

upped b26's and the drones drag on the floor then all of a sudden they zoom climb to altitude.  I think I was around 1k.

also the bomb/ammo counter was flickering really bad. the whole time.

Been loving the new game..
Guns seem quite different..there is more realism to it now I think.
Sometimes I think it looks quite cartoony esp on the ground..town etc..
Then I remember..its a cartoon flight Sim! So fair Doos!.
Been playing a bit and I'm well impressed..awesome work..

Loaded the client, first takeoff had the game minimize, clicked on the icon, the game opened to a white screen.  I pushed forward on the stick and the engine pitch changed, I think the game was still going.  When the sound stopped (likely crashed the plane) then I got the "close program" dialog.

Online Melee - When Mosquito VI right engine had oil leak the graphic overlay on right engine nacelle extended to prop spinner. This area was transparent and you can see it in attached screenshot circled in red.

Also every attempt to ditch insta-death water or land.

I'm late to the whole party and maybe these are known things, but I'm spending a lot of time chasing dots that are there, then suddenly not there, then suddenly a few miles away, etc.

Makes me feel like I'm back in high school talking to a leaf pile... 

Also in the P47's, looking straight up causes awful sound stuttering in my headphones and I can't seem to find a setting that cures it.

vudak the bigger dots are further away, I was trying to guess when the change from big dot to small plane happens and would say 8-10k? 

I guess it will help the aged players see stuff from much further away and thus fly towards it = promoting combat.   When things then "de-cloak" into smaller dots then the usual 6k icon visual it will just take some SA re-adjustment but on the whole I'd say it is better.

Second--Bloom on graphic detail bug.  If you deselect bloom (was in white 38 and the bloom was BLOOMING CRAZY), it works  as advertised..the first time. If you exit the game and come back in, the bloom is still deselected in the GUI, but the Bloom effect is ON.  If you select it again (turn it on in the GUI) then it goes off.  Essentially Bloom is defaulting on at system startup and has the capability to get out of sync with the visual indication in the GUI.
Work around- deselect all the advanced graphics with the single toggle of "Disable Post Lighting" and then deselect that box. Seems to reset it so GUI is insync with effect.

I'm having a problem similar to this except with reflections. First noticed back in Beta 27. If you're in flight and disable reflections, all of them disable, until you take off again and the gunsight reflection reappears. It will disappear if you enable and then disable them again. I was also able to get some of the post lighting options out of sync.

Seems the game is set to give you a large dot at distance, and then when it renders they "vanish"...if you are at high resolution, you won't see it till it Icons.  At 1080p I can zoom in and see the "con" , but above that resolution I don't see anything. Kept me from flying at 4k Resolution.... :(  HiTech said he knows what causes it...so I'm thinking in a new patch we will see the fix.  I played with ALL the Nvidia 3d settings to no avail at 4k, and just settled back to 1080p (which looks awesome still!).

I did more checking into my TeamSpeak and AHIII DX11 problem.  Without the TS3 Overlay enabled it worked fine, but with the overlay on it always crashes at start-up.  MS message after crash is:

Again AHIII DX9 dose not have this problem.  There must be a difference, but I'm stumped.

the issue dobs highlighted with no blackouts.  they do work normally with ctrl + i fps display up.   DX11 version.

Ah, good to know.  I'm also seeing dots disappear before they become icons at 2560 x 1440.

I went to the ack batteries on the Knight side of the uterus map by the city, tried to up in a gun there, they weren't enabled.

Your running the old beta icon, there should be  new icon on your desk.

Dragon there are no more patches to the beta. You have to download the complete pre-release version here. http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,380904.0.html

There will be a new icon on your desktop to start the game after you download it.

a few findings:

- Map  in "General Melee" (SFMA) is borked, Rook and Bish strats are switched and thus deep in enemy territory

- Engine sounds are a mess:
Tu-2 has external engine sound only when the point of view is extremely close to the plane, 10ft away and it cuts off. Internal engine sound drops out depending on attitude (nose down and it cuts out no matter what speed & throttle setting), and depending on power setting alone as well.
At first, Lancaster had no engine sounds at all. Only when I went external and set my point of view very close to the engines, there was a faint engine sound to hear which then also stayed when I switched back to cockpit. Until I brought the clipboard up and minimized that again - engine sound disappeared again
In the B-25C I had internal engine sound in level flight only while WEP was on. Without WEP, engine sound only when climbing, unless I cut back the throttle ...  :confused:

Tu-2 gauges flickering massively, in the B-25C the screws in the compas area of the panel are.

This download ls nothing like the nice looking game we were flying in. It looks more like AH II. Not sure why but for some reason my gamma was all the way up. Turned it way down. It is the same terrain we were flying on and looks entirely different.

My experience is the same as Shuffler's. Graphics are not as good as in v.41 and previous recent patches. Colors look washed out even after adjusting gamma (Especially from the air. Town buildings seem more "cartoony" then in recent Beta versions. It's better than AH2 but not what I expected from the recent Beta. Also frame rates are lower than in Beta V.41
In V. 41 and the pre-Release version I am running default settings except for moving the environmental slider to none.

I've experienced this same thing, but in all the aircraft i've flown so far.

Anyone else using panning padlock and having issues. On my system padlock stops working when the selected enemy gets near the gunsight. It's like the hud sight stops the tracking. Can that be restored to the way it worked in AH2?
