Title: Mission Editor Help Files AHIII and AHII
Post by: iaqmya on September 03, 2016, 03:26:24 PM
I can get the mission editor to open in both AHII and AHIII but cannot get the help file content to open.  I opened the editor, loaded an arena and then clicked on the "Help" button.  I get the "system working" swirl and then nothing.
Any ideas? :uhoh

I also am not able to open the "Help" file in the film viewer.  I have Windows 10 Anniversary 64 bit.  I get a Windows error.

I have been trying to convert ahf files to AVI without any success.  I have used the full frames uncompressed choice; the CINE Code by Radius, the Intel IYUV an Microsoft Video 1 systems.  All abort within seconds.  I tried 12, 24, 30 and 60 FPS modes and they all abort.  I tried the 320 by 240 and 640 by 480 and they abort.
My dxdiag is attached.

I am using a file, a short file, that is 1.29 mb in size.

I want to use the ahf file because of the ability to see other aspects of the flight that cannot be seen in the "Bandicam" system.  The Plays.tv just didn't work for me, it caused aces high to stop working.

My dxdiag is attached.

I have no idea why this is not working.  I still can't get into the "help" files.

If the Aces High Film Viewer is not capable of this, is there a program that can do this?

You need to save the AVI file in segments.  Check the box in the film viewer and it should work.

Except, there may be a bug in the current release of the film viewer (Version 3.0 Patch 0).

This software capture program can capture from AHFilm, at least anything you play in the window of AHFilm. Depending on your system you can even turn it up to 99% quality and it will not affect your playback rate much, if at all.
