Recently, I have been getting about a one second freeze while flying. This is accompanied with a spike in the Variance in Delay graph.(image attached) It seems to happen about once every five to fifteen minutes pretty regularly. I don't really know what variance in delay means. If anyone has an idea about what could be causing this, please let me know. Thanks. :headscratch:

A variance in delay means your computer was taken away from running the game which caused a delay in the game.
There are hundreds of reasons this can happen. Anything which requires the CPU to execute, will cause the issue.
The most typical items:
1) Anti-xxxx software interfering with the game. Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, and AVG are all notorious for this.
2) Windows updater running in the background.
3) DoS attack on your network connection.
4) Inheriting an IP address from some torrent or P2P user.
Your DXDIA does not look bad, except for the insanely high level of page file usage.
Check the number of processes running on your computer (Ctrl-Alt-Del, Task Manage, Processes tab, lower left corner for count). With a reasonably clean Windows 7 system, there would around 35 to 38 processes running.

Thanks Skuzzy.

I disabled anti-virus software, turned off windows updater, and killed several non-essential processes to no avail. However, switching to DX9 version has fixed the problem for now.

This is the same as the freeze posted as combat freeze. Started with the last install. Assume they are working it. Seems to be limited to DX11 version.

How do you get to the screen where Sanford captured the variance delay?

Still here :( Micro freezes still occurring.

You running Windows 10, by any chance, or any type of anti-xxxx software?
Inconsistency is a nightmare.
Windows 10 users need to be aware that Windows 10 will continue to update itself, even when a game is running and that can cause stutters.
Anti-xxxx software (particular AVG, Kaspersky, Norton, and McAfee) have all been problematic during the development of AHIII. I see no reason for that to stop.
Both the above can cause inconsistent behavior. Typically, but not always, inconsistent behavior, from any software program can be influenced by external factors.

I'm running windows 7, with Vyper antivirus, by sunbelt software. 1 sec Freezes came back, yesterday in dx11. Now i'm getting complete freezing of the game when using vox in both dx11 and dx9. Also now Teamspeak will not connect. Maybe new patch/ arena reset will help. :pray

New patch today, but that will not help Teamspeak. We have no control over that. Doubt anything we did today is going to help with random stutters.
-
New Patch seems to have fixed all problems.

So, last night got on for some Melee play and then walk on for FSO.
Did not see one stutter.....so that is good!
Now, in FSO, with fricking 100 aircraft in the area and city ack went off.....FPS took major hit.
Is that a CPU Overload or a GPU overload?
Dobs

Could be either, or both. A DXDIAG output would help answer that one.

And link a film (.ahf) if you have one! :D Want to test some new sounds.
