when I hit the caps, it makes my screen smaller???

It sounds like either a key mapping issue to zoom?
What exactly do you mean by smaller?

like smaller as in minimized in a window about half my screen size. with the x in the corner. have to minimize with windows key then open game back up. tried mapping.
