Title: GV Acceleration Changes?
Post by: SmokinLoon on September 24, 2016, 02:50:35 PM
Is it me, or have the gv's become a bit slower in the acceleration department?  I think it took the M8 I was in earlier today 15 seconds to get to 62mph, and the M3's I've run all seem to have the same issue.

Anyone?

I was feeling like the time it takes to start up and put it in gear and go was taking longer.. I'm going to drug test my crew

15 seconds to 62 would be impressive ;)

I tested the M8 on a runway in AHII and AH III. Startup in III took almost twice as long (about 6.3 seconds vs  3.7 seconds in II), but acceleration from 0 to 62 mph took about 34 seconds in both versions.

If you use a smaller FOV the same speed will look slower.

So is there a reason for being so slow to get into gear?  The engine sounds like it starts quickly but the vehicles don't start moving for what seems like forever (OK... Lusche measured it at 6.3 sec, but it seems like forever when someone is shooting at you).  Is there something about how a real tank works that this delay is realistic or is my driver just really bad at shifting gears?

That was an air freshener. I now use the ones that look like trees. I add another for each tree I hit. It is smelling very strong now.LOL

Hanger Camping is already becoming a problem. If your by your self and all the man guns are down, you'll never get out of the hanger.
