I'm serious.........can't see a lvt that's parked 35 feet away until the running troop icons show up.

Yeah.....i stood next to the friendly tank and shot up the lvt with a pistol.

That's how close it was to the friendly panzer.

I do think that icon range is awful short since none of the 11 friendly planes ever saw the lvt even after i let them know its exact location.

I will bet the friendly tank mistook the sound cues and also thought they were coming from a different direction. I've had enemy tanks drive right past me when I was sitting still next to some trees.

For some players, air combat and ground combat, AH2 was learned by sound cues as much as visual. It will take some time for them to transition their learned response cues. AH3 is a bit higher on the visual cues.

Sound does seem a bit screwy as i pulled up behind wizzy while shot
our strat and i watched him drive off without a sound before collecting the kill.
