Title: Solar storm for Friday
Post by: ghi on September 29, 2016, 06:52:23 PM
This is not caused by solar flares or CME ,but from what I read  the Earth is facing a solar coronal hole and alows more particles to escape, moving towards us.

"Solar storm heading towards Earth threatening to break your Sky TV and mobile phones
A HUGE solar storm is heading towards Earth which could leave us without mobile phones, satellite TV and even electricity"

We've been in  affected all this week by strong solar wind causing geomagnetic storm, they are saying is going to get stronger in next 24-36 hours.

btw, the black  Moon is rising   tomorrow night;  there are some apocalyptic prophecies connected with " black Moon", (maybe the total crash of Deutsche Bank.)

Been the same Kp5-6 for the past few days from the coronal hole according to spaceweather.com.  Unless the stream doubles in intensity or some unknown is spewing out of the sun, I am willing to bet they are screaming chicken little sensationalism on their news "story" just to get some doom and gloom page views and additional ad revenue

My cellphone reception and download speeds (sprint, south florida) got abruptly worse a couple days ago.  I wonder if it'll get better once this is over with.
