Can we have a box to check so the damage display is always on or off... I would like to have it on all the time, but rarely do i remember to turn it on.

Checklist, checklist, checklist :devil
Is there a way to have a configuration file that runs on either entry to the game or going on the runway? Something where you could put in perhaps dot commands to configure things the way you want them --- damage on, radios tuned, etc.

You do this now see .script

Scrpts work great, I have my Salvo's on scripts
-
Now your talking French to me.
-
How do scripts work?
-
You create a file in your AHIII folder and name it anyway you want. Let's say it's called 'myscript'
Put the desired dot commands in there, for example
.salvo 6
.delay 0.5
.radio 5 145
then save it.
In AH, you just type .script myscript
and it will run your script.
-
What is the script file format?
filename <no extension>
filename.???
I know this is obtuse, I want to clarify 'myscript' since Hitech uses .dod, .awa, .cfg, .hps, .pwl, .var, .out, .fla, .pln, .jsm, .slv and last .txt.

And how do you script things that are not dot commands - like the damage list?

yes please ty.

Looked through fehelp.txt and hosthelp.txt and didn't see a .damage command for your plane. Found the script format and the file needs no extension.

seems alot easier to just map it to your joystick or throttle
thats what i did.

I used to do that.
As for scripts . . . well, I type slow; so in my case, I use Voice Attack, cost me $18.00 USD.
I can change salvos in mid dive just by saying "salvo 1" or "salvo 2" etc..
Since I only fly P-38s, salvos are mapped all the way from 1 - 10.
Locate, move, damage, plane icon, score, salute, return salute etc. are just some of the things that I mapped.
Last I looked, I have 61 voice commands.
The less I have to type the happier I am. :old:
