Title: Forum Support
Post by: SlipKnt on October 08, 2016, 10:44:30 AM
When I switched to Windows 10, I lost the ability to use the emojis in this forum.

Anyone familiar with this?  I feel there has to be a setting somewhere I can click on to allow me use of them again.  I haven't found anything yet.

Thanks!

I've been using 10 for over a year now, and never had that issue?
I'm using Pale-Moon for my browser.

I am using Explorer.

I just seems like there is something somewhere I need to check.  I haven't found it yet.  I can use emojis in other applications.  This is the only site I can't.

Open where it says "Attachments and other option" below, and uncheck "Don't use smileys."

I did an update to SMF, the other day, which contained additional code to correct this issue with the Edge browser.  I cannot confirm if it does fix the problem though.

There's issues both with Internet Explorer and Edge. They simply don't read the standard code in a standard way. Other browsers follow the standard, so if any incompatibility issues occur they fix the browser instead of demanding the Internet to adapt.

Edge automatically opens with smileys enabled (just checked). The last time I reset Windows I had to enable it in Explorer.
