What is going on with this split second freeze and net status spike? I want to Run DX11, seems to provide better graphics, however, the spikes and screen freezes happening every few minutes is irritating, to say the least!
Thanks,

There is no graphical difference between DX9 and DX11. DX11 has more overhead than DX9 does, but we have not been able to duplicate any type of freezing/pauses in house making it very difficult to figure out why it is happening.
Why it only happens in DX11 is even more of a mystery.
We need multiple films. We need an AHF film and a video capture as well. The AHF film does not have to show the freeze, which is why we need the video capture as well so we can see what the situation is when it does happen. So far, we have one film set and that is it.

How many more do you want? Online only? or will offline work too?
Are GVs good enough, or do you need to see airplane footage too?
-
We need as many as we can get. So far, we have not been able to get enough information to narrow it down much.

What is a good video recorder for Win7 64?

Fraps works fine for me.

I use OBS Studio

So if I place a screenshot of each next to each other they would look exactly alike?

It will depend on the lighting in the frame. DX11 has pixel centering issues which DX9 does not have. Shows up in some of the extreme lighting examples, like looking at the Sun. In those cases DX9 will look better than DX11 will as DX11 will have some pixel artifacts.

I've seen the blocky lighting, it has appeared in many a DX11 game, but I didn't realise it was DX11 doing it.
Would it be safe to assume that performance would be improved a good amount on DX9, only I have stuck with AH in DX11 since DX11 was an option.

Performance wise, it is going to depend on the hardware. DX11 has more overhead than DX9, so in that regard DX9 should perform better, but video cards designed for DX11 will probably perform better with DX11, than with DX9. Then again, it could be a wash, performance wise.

Thanks for posting Skuzzy. I'll start collecting pauses and AHF files to go with.
Just go "stop" when you want me to stop.

Played about 3 hours tonight patch8, DX11 no micro pauses like before.
-
I swapped to DX9, no blocky glare, was worth it alone.

I too played about 3 hours with no spikes....found out that I had started the game in DX9. Couldn't tell the difference in Graphics, but could tell a slight difference in Frame Rate.

On my system DX9 has measurably higher frame rate than the DX11 version.
