My son is taking me there this weekend for the Viking game on Sunday. Arriving Sat and leaving Mon morning.
Anything worth doing on Sat?
What is decent local food fare? (something unique to the area)
Etc etc
some stuff to fill the day

Fried butter for food, the mosquito is the state bird.

You already missed their week of summer

Hell's Kitchen is great, and if you really like delicious meats, check out Fogo de Chao - the waiters come to your table frequently with different kinds of meats and slice them onto your plate. Mouthwatering and delicious.
Have fun, hope the Vikings do well. Lemme know what you think of a billion dollar stadium!

I'm not sure if they do it on weekends, especially the day before a game, but they give guided tours of the new stadium.
I haven't been there myself, but there's a warbird museum (Wings of the North) at the Flying Cloud airport, which is in a southwestern suburb.

Also, Murray's is downtown Minneapolis fixture and has been there for years; great steaks in a traditional restaurant.

Thanks.
Fogo de Chao sounds interesting..
Only thing I could find out about the staium tours says they will start doing it in Nov.
We'd always talked about doing this. My son got himself a nice new position at work and this is how he is choosing to celibate it. He figured we should do it now while we can before I fall off a ladder or he ends up having a kid. Life does have a way of getting in the way.
Worst comes to worst we'll just hang out and find some muggers to rob. LOL
