Title: WEP limits documentation
Post by: Scca on November 05, 2016, 08:05:55 AM
Please document and publish the current WEP limits in each plane. We could experiment, but any plane manual would provide this info, so HTC should too.

Thanks  :salute

I think it's your job to prove that something is wrong.  if it was hitech's job to prove to us something is right, they would spend everyday for the next millenium when somebody questions something.

I fly the pony and I see no difference in wep.

Nothing is wrong.   A change was made. The simple question is, what are the details of that change? From what I can tell unless you rearm it will essentially never be a factor but it would be nice to know if the consumable not getting refilled on rearm is working as intended or a bug.

Wiley.

Then you're not paying attention.

The Pony used to have unlimited WEP recharge.  It no longer does.

the only thing that was changed is that hitech changed to wep so it wont be unlimited like before as that was an oversight.  I forget where he mentioned that.

I think the op should have phrased it a bit better.  something like

would it be possible for ah to list the plane along with wep limit/time whatever.  instead of could hitech prove to us that the wep is right as it is currently used.

and I know exactly how long wep lasts in the pony.  i flew it exclusively in ah2 and noticed the change right away in ah3.

Yes.  So your assertion that nothing changed was inaccurate.

Less about "right", but I'd prefer not to have to test it. Should be documented

Should be a Temp limit for non-consumable WEP.

Time limit/consumption rate for consumable WEP.

Question is "is temperature rise the same for all aircraft"?  If not, then aircraft Xx has 5 minutes in WEP before overheating. Aircraft yy has 10 minutes in WEP before overheating. Not an unusual request to be informed of what that time is IMO.

Most consumable WEP aircraft actually saw a decrease in temp as it had the additional effect of cooling.

It is all vary confusing to me and a better explanation would be great, maybe dale could just delegate someone to type up the memo..

OR, why not utilize an already wonderful in-game mechanic to display this text heavy data?

OH i don't know, say a clipboard E6B option showing WEP status, runtime, etc?

Maybe then someone who doesn't religiously visit the forums would have that information at a glance IN GAME...

I wrote we extrater for the planes.
Here is its output.

Name|HeatRate|CoolRate|Total Time
to calculate time from rate simply divide 1 / Rate.
I.E. p51d wep times is 1.0 / 0.0033 or 303
