Title: how long will troops run?

Do they run a maximum time?  Distance?

I seem to remember a mile as the limit they will run. Outside that area they will just stand there for a certain amount of time, but I dont know how long that is.

I've seen people release them at the edge of town and they made it.  In AH2 I released them pretty far out just off the beach and they ran.

I have a distant memory of having heard that they need to be droped within 1½ mile from the MR in order to run.
