Noticed this in a noter thread. If anyone had a list of them it would be great :)
Only only i found was the tempest has a single wep cycle.

Tempest still has at least two, if not more.
-
I hope there is a list out there , but basically if the aircraft needed water or water/methanol injection ( nitrous oxide should apply too ) for their WEP setting , then the water tank will run out eventually . It's not so much a single cycle as its using its supply of fuel (water ) up.
I've ran out of water in a P-51D , P-47M and F4u-1a. So i know those run out for sure . Some planes (p-38) use a higher manifold pressure to achieve the WEP hp rating, so it doesn't have a water or nitrous tank that runs dry. That is my understanding of it .... could be wrong

As was pointed out, the 51 does not carry water. And planes that carried water usually carried enough for periods so long that you would be more concerned by fuel shortage. For example the 190d should carry enough for 40min of mw50 use

My Tempest does. Tested it offline and used it that way in game, AH3.
Just to make sure, you do activate WEP at an appropriate altitude? Tempest is one of the planes with a rather small altitude region where WEP actually produces a boost.

i was capping a field anywhere from 3-7k and the temp guage would reach middle yellow and as soon I'd hit WEP, I'd have over heating temps with no extra power.
-

WEP in AH is still strictly time based. The temp gauge doesn't really matter for this purpose. If I recall correctly, Tempest has a 5/10 minute WEP cycle.
Just to make sure I tested the Temp again in offline mode, and after a 2 minute cooldown I got 1 minute of WEP back, just as expected.

My bad on the 51... they must be going by the operating manual that restricted use to a certain amount of time.
-
the two 38's with WEP do run out.

Lusche sorry but currently in game the WEP is different than the past, you can take traditional aircraft like the spits 51 38 exc. and run them out to the point the wep never comes back. I did this to the 38 on my first run then hot padded 3 more times and never got to more wep.
-

I didn't say anything contrary to that. I know HT has said he put max limit on some, but the way WEP itself works is still the same. X minutes of WEP time for Y minutes of cooldown time.

Which wasn't a point anyone was arguing.

I wrote we extrater for the planes.
Here is its output.

Math? I have to do math?
There's a reason I am a pilot not an accountant. :rofl
-
The important numbers are on the end of each line,in seconds.
:salute
-
A pilot who can't do math... I call BS.
-
The list shows plane #2 to be the 109G10, and I think it should be the 109K4 instead.
-
Hmm 109 G10. What ya hiding over there hitech
-

I guess you missed the joke.
(I have met my fair share who are terrible with math. Some are still great pilots.)
-
Yeah I do that a lot... Sorry.

Yes it's the K4.

So, Brit Merlins get 2 full recharges, 10 min total.
Should be enough for 1 sortie given that they recharge on 1:3 ratio so it would take 25 minutes minimum of flight time to waste all the WEP.
Will start to be an issue in sorties that include hot realoads on the pad.
-
Now we know the answer to the original question: LA-5, La-7 and Tu-2
-
Now we know the answer to the original question: LA-5, La-7 and Tu-2
We also know how long WEP lasts in the Yak3.
-
If I'm reading this right, that last number is how much total time per sortie is allowed for wep?
If so, then we have some problems with the logic here...
Just to name a handful off the top, there are a lot more that follow this pattern;
190A5 - no additive. Should be unlimited cycles.
190A8 - no additive. No MW50 on our model. Should be unlimited cycles.
190F8 - no additive. No MW50 on our model. Should be unlimited cycles.
109E4 - no additive. Should be unlimited cycles.
109F4 - no additive. Should be unlimited cycles.
109G2 - no additive. Should be unlimited cycles.
109G6 - no additive. No MW50 on our model. Should be unlimited cycles.
These planes, and more, should have no sortie timeouts on WEP other than the cooldown of the WEP. They should operate as they did before the change.
-
Krusty, every single plane in AH has limited WEP cycles now. Every Merlin powered plane has only 10 minutes total WEP time, which is only two cycles. The German DB 601E, 603 and 605 powered rides are very generous in comparison with 42 minutes. I'm guessing this was done to compensate for the fact that German WEP procedures and limits don't fit well to the AH system.
-
I have a big problem with that. It's nonsensical. It's not bound by the actual reality, and doesn't even simulate or replicate real capabilities.
That's Ubisoft IL2 levels of arbitrary hamstringing....
-
Yes, I would agree with you on that. The way it used to work was better, regardless of it being a bug.
-
The P-40C has 600 seconds of WEP? < President Skroob voice > "Why doesn't anybody tell me these things?!"
-
In two 300 second bursts with a 600 or 900 second cool down period in between.
-
If this is a simulator the planes should act as they do in real life. Am I right?

I wish life was that simple, ordo you think you should never fly again when you are killed.
-

Would be fun, every new player is tested prior to being accepted and then has to start with basic and advandced training for a year or so Before being assigned to a squad and allowed to fly hours of eventless patrols Before being shot down and kicked out of the game.

I think thats the reality now minus the training and they quit
-
Any chance of having WEP recharge when you hot pad? I can't think of a good reason why it shouldn't.
The 109s (other than the E4) and 190s effectively have unlimited total WEP time. 30 seconds with a calculator and that chart will show you that in anything like a normal flight, even with drop tanks, you will run out of gas long before you run out of WEP given the time it takes to recharge. Complaining about the fact that it has a theoretical limit that you will never actually hit is pretty pointless.
-
One big problem with AH WEP in general is that once you disconnect and reup in flight means WEP is used up totally, which in turn mean you will not engage in your WEP-crippled plane anytime soon if not at great advantage - your plane is not competive in Melee arena until you can use WEP for at least for a bunch of minutes.
As an example FW190A rely heavly on WEP to stay competetive, and have 1:4 recharge time for it's 10 minutes of WEP, for 10 minutes cooling means 2,5 minutes of WEP back to use.
Yak3 on the other hand can happlily fly on at 100% without any hitch.

And people thought Ponies were runners before. Lol. Now watch us run. We will never fight without total supremacy now! (Yes, I said NOW twice.)
-
you can't run from anything in a 190A with current Melee planes flying around you, and you lose speed like throwing out an anchor turning it (secially the A8/F8)

True. But now I will horde my Pony WEP and my altitude like never before. Muhuhuhahhahhahahahaaaaaaaa!
