Title: AH3 not opening

Installed an reinstalled, cant get the game to open. When I install and it asks "Would you like to run the game" it opens for about ten seconds and then closes.

When I double click the desktop icon it does the same and when I right click and "open" it also does the same.

Is there a prayer to hitech I need to recite while installing?

I think this is what you're asking about? The other dx stuff was sound related and input stuff.

You need to post the other stuff too. Click the 'save all information' button to create a text file.

The only thing I see odd, is you have two microphones connected.  One to the onboard RealTek sound device, the other to an ASUS Xonar sound card.

The video card driver is a bit old as well.  Some of the early Windows 10 video drivers were problematic.


I want to be sure I understand what you are saying.  You never get to the clipboard.  The game silently stops before the splash screen shows.  Is that correct?

That is odd, the only mic I have is the one in my headset...

Yes, when I try to open the desktop icon, a white screen comes up (like it's about the load the picture and the clipboard) but just before you'd expect it to load it just closes out as if you hit the X in the top right.

Hi Thor,

I'm not AH tech support, so you should probably ignore me, but I did have a problem that acted the same way as you, when I first moved from AH2 to AH3. It was some part of my setting. I removed the AHIII installed, re-installed, but when it asked if I wanted to copy settings, I said NO. Then it ran just fine. I was able to copy my joystick settings and airplanes settings over manually after that, and have them recognized. Maybe worth a try.
