Title: Weird
Post by: Zoney on November 25, 2016, 08:07:13 AM
Yesterday while flying a 262 in the MA after my 4th rearm as I was rolling down the runway to takeoff, both engines blew simultaneously and I had to jam on the brakes and roll to a stop.  Anyone else have this happen?

Definitely a foreign object on runway.  Perhaps a carelessly tossed turkey leg bone? :D

Otto Hartkopf was probably drunk again on the production line.  Ping Heidi at the head office in Magdeburg and file the issue with the complaints division.  Sign looks like this...

I could see if you hit the 'E' key when mucking around with flaps..

Go back to that same runway, turn on the film, and taxi slow. If it happens again you've got some evidence to submit.  :)

Probably parts off 49ers planes we were scattering all over the MA last night.    :neener:

Probably just a piece of shrapnel from a nearby SAPP landing.

I did die twice last night in short order.

262 engines are made from K cars  :old:

K-cars?  Wow, has been a long time since I last encountered that term!   :old:

About two weeks ago - parked on the same street, no less - there was a pale yellow Dodge Aries K and a dark blue Yugo.  And this was in suburbia too.  :headscratch:

Wow, that *is* weird. Never even heard someone mention that kind of thing. Is it possible that AH3 now models FOD, or the lifespan of the Jumo 004 ???

I agree with Bino.   I am wondering the same.  Jet engines have a short shelf life.

Possible? Technically yes. But I don't believe that at all, considering HT's stance on things like this in the past and the absence of any patch notes explaining such a radical departure from a ~17 year old principle.

I rearmed one yesterday at least 6 times and nothing bad happened like before.  Just a game hiccup it seems.
