I know how to do it...or at least I used to...I haven't been able to get it to work no matter what I do...I've deleted and redone the file several times...anyone else having this problem? :noid

Are you putting it in the MOTD folder?
-
Yes
-
I know this maybe a dumb answer but did you put it in the Hitech creations AH3 MOTD folder? I still have the old folder Aces High from AH2...(should really get rid of it) and quite often go there to look for things instead of the correct new folders.

Message Of The Day. Its the pop up window that HTC uses as you log inthe game. They also allow squads to post messages to their squadmates as they log in.

Double check you're doing all the steps right oh, and capitalization matters. AKMeathd.txt isn't AKMEATHD.txt
Go to o'club>squads, and there is a box with 3 buttons for the "message of the day". Hit the Upload button, and it will create a text file in a the MOTD directory where you have the game installed (C:\aces high III\MOTD for example). It will be titled after the name of the CO for the squad. Anyone with eject and invite permissions can change it
Edit that text file with what ever you want to say. Save it, then go back to the squads page in game, and click upload. Optionally, if it's a short message, you can type right in the box when you hit upload as long as it's under 128 characters in length.
