Whenever I start up and enter the game I get a mostly black screen and a constant "Texture Creation Error" message in the text box, anyone able to help out?

Go to the "Video Settings".  Check the "Maximum Texture Size" option and reduce it to see if that helps.

A DXDIAG output might be helpful as well.
