Title: ability to program rudder on stick button

 My rudder pedals went belly up - be nice to be able to put left and right rudder on a button on the stick (it isn't a twisty stick)

You can. Under map controllers, select the button you want to use, click modify, and look under "globel setting" for rudder left, right, and center. save the setting.

You will have to use up 3 switches to get them all usable

 Thanks, I was looking in flight which only gave option of trim rudder.
