A few years ago I had a very similar impression. And having much more time at my hands back then, I meticulously recorded every map change and chesspiece distribution for months.
Turned out it actually was random, but like with all random things there could be series of identical results which could give the impression that chesspiece X would never end up there on a specific map.
other than random what do you suggest?

Random like on the Fester Map where it always seemed like the Bish always had the north end of the Fester Map.....I complained and that came to an end. there ought to be some place that keeps track of what side had what part of the map, and we could all keep an eye on it.....I can tell you the side that has the west end of the map has a real disadvantage, especially when it comes to their strats....they are all less than a sector from a NOE raid unlike the other two sides........ this is the only map that isn't parceled out to match the other two sides. I mean even a two week trial guy could see that right off the bat. I know the game is far from perfect, but the way the maps are chosen really need some work.....Just stick the Bish on the east end and we'll call it good. :aok
Problem isn't that side of the map, problem is you get porker out and don't have enough players to push into the other countries....random vs set rotation isn't the issue, no need to change that.
You don't need to push into their area. Just attack at the small front and watch the furr fly.I'm saying for a win the war objective....it's the mechanics that they argue about in other threads that make them not like getting that side...M3 resupply...a few can hold that front against many so the west country never has a chance to break out and win the war.
