Howdy :salute
As the tittle declares, I'd like to see the F4F be brought into the glory of modern modeling. Now that the 110 has finally seen a facelift I'm hoping the Wildcat will be put on the list of projects for 2017 :pray Perhaps we could celebrate with a scenario to fly it in a scenario afterwards :devil
Thank you all for checking in on this thread, I hope others would enjoy seeing this wish fulfilled.

KI84 too :aok

F4F is a great one to do because you almost get a two-for-one on the FM-2's 3D model. The FM-2 has a taller tail, apart from that I can think of any real differences in the model.
IIRC the Ki.84 was one of the first next-gen 3D models. Same with the P-38. Long in tooth now but part of that early group with 3D cockpits.

The FM-2 also had a different engine and cowl to the F4F-4, nine cylinder Wright rather than 14 cylinder P&W. However in terms of HTC modelling them the important stuff is all the same; the control surface animations (apart from the rudder) and the gear animation, the cockpit art and 90% of the external 3D shape.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!
Greebo, get to making those skins! :P

I'll start on F4F/FM-2s soon, no point until I can view and screenshot them in the game. Lyric1 is already busy finding me information on subjects to skin, the first one will either be a tri-colour USN or a camo'd Fleet Air Arm FM-2.

I vote tri-color
