its wierd.. its almost like all the bullets hit the EXACT same point.. in a P51 no matter what I set my convergence to it all the bullts still hit in a extremely tight group.. I set it all the way in as close at it will let you.. and still at 1k they all still hit in a tightly packed single group...

? about this.. but didnt bullets fly in diff ways? the bullets fly straight. but in wwii vidoe clips of planes shooting a plane down it seems the bullets are going crazy or at least the tracer is.

JaCkNiFe,
That's because the camera is being bounced around by the gun recoil. The tracers were, in fact, not "squirrley", but rather straight and linear.

see the picture in this thread.

pretty damn straight. like karnak said, its the camera bouncing due to vibration.

try it with the p47 or any other aircraft
the p51d has a gun convergence bug that resets the convergence to 650 yards if you fly aircraft other than the p51d
I suspect this is happening to you
it is neccessary to reset p51d convergence before every flight in it if you have flown the 109g10 or certain other aircraft since you last flew the p51d
totally wierd bug

I have flown the P-51D a lot and would never have known this bug exists since I use 650 yards convergence for all guns on all aircraft I fly. Thanks for the info :)
