Thanks to Lyric1 for finding the info for this skin.

This bare metal Ki-61 flew with the 37th Sentai which was an advanced training unit based on Formosa whose experienced pilots were sometimes called upon for combat sorties. In a desperate measure in 1945 the 37th was sent to Okinawa in a futile attempt to bolster the air defence there. This aircraft number 05 has a bare metal finish albeit with a replacement fin and rudder from a camouflaged aircraft.

Very nice, Greebo.  First of many, I hope!

Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or am I seeing a slight mint greenish hue to the ailerons and elevators?

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

This is my second Ki-61 skin after the green 19th Sentai one I did a while ago. I'll probably skin a stripey camo scheme Ki-61 as well at some point. The greenish hue represents the paint applied to the fabric control surfaces.
