Hi, lately I've been having issues with the Net Status showing severe -ish sawtooth unlike the mostly flat line it used to be. So after rebooting the router a couple of times and resetting both the IP stacks and Winsock, it was time for a Ping Plot. Hops 8 and 9 seem to behave badly. Apparently fixing them is beyond my skills and powers, but it would be nice to know whom to blame:

Oh well, after doing some research, hop #8 seems to be Level3 which has been told to be problematic. Guess I'd have to talk to my ISP but then again they're a nationwide company who won't care about the online gaming problems of a single customer.

give it a few weeks. After Christmas it will most likely settle down.

So, is this a pre-Christmas thing or has it something to do with the new president?
-
my guess is both, but the Christmas rush will cause issues.
-
Cyper Monday mine did the same thing.

trump probably has a deal with the Russians to give all Finnish customers exceptional packet loss! :old: :D :noid

Bruv, when I started to find out who's behind hop #8, it said Level3, Great Britain. Another whois source said it would be somewhere in Stockholm, Sweden, yet providing their GB address. A few active names in both countries pop into my mind but I'm not pointing my finger at anyone.
An Anglo-saxon conspiracy can't be opted out either, hop #9 appeared to be Level3, Dallas, Texas.
