Multiple issues LVT's spawning feet dry from CV. Also troops running over the ponds in town & from all accounts know one could shoot them while walking on water.
Also it seems this is a known issue now with certain players.
So when the LVT's get into town they drop into the ponds so the troops can't be shot.
