Title: Alelyukhin's La-7

Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

This is the La-7 of Major Alexei Alelyukhin, CO of 9 GIAP in 1945. Alelyukhin flew combat missions throughout the Great Patriotic War scoring his first kill of a He-111 on June 24, 1941 while flying an I-16. Later in the war he flew the LaGG-3, Yak-1, Bell P-39 Airacobra and finally the La-7. He was twice awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and ended the war with 601 sorties flown, including 258 air battles and having personally destroyed 40 enemy planes while sharing in the destruction of 17 more.

Beautiful job, Greebo - the thing that grabs me about this one is the specularity difference between the bare metal plate behind the exhaust manifold and the rest of the painted fuselage.  Very effective!
