Ive been out of aces high for years (ex the 52nd KIWI sqdn) but with retirement (rewirement?) beckoning Im thinking of getting back in.
However, its been so long that I will have to re set up just about EVERYTHING..
so Im hoping someone can help with these dumb questions..
1. can anyone help with a good map file for CH Fighterstick and pro throttle plus saitek rudders?
2. How do I get all the skins down to use?
3. do I have to start in Aces High III now or is AHII still going? I have a desktop icon for AHII and it runs but says my version is out of date and do I want to download the update, I say yes and it just sits there (nothing starts downloading) The version I have is 2.32 patch 2
hoping someone can help

Look below this post at the bottom left for the Hitech Creations Home Page link. Once there you'll see a download link near the top of the page. There you'll find the skins and AHIII.
AHII no longer exists.
Welcome back.

One more thing you didn't ask about: AHIII requires a "real" gaming computer, meaning one with a decent video card. Basically it means AMD or Nvidia, Intel video chips have issues with gaming code. A high end card dating from the last five years should work so we're not talking about ginormous investments to get it running.

When you download AH3 you have the option to import your stick map settings from AH2 during the install.

Welcome back! :x
For control settings I would just recommend you customize them in game via the clipboard for yourself. Why? For buttons there are many obvious ones most people set to the same thing, but it is particularly more important if you wish to adjust any sort of scaling because no two controllers are going to be exactly the same. That said having a starting point helps. I recommend doing a starestep scaling on the rudder pedals to start with and see what areas you want more/less input (I use same rudder pedals but not at home to check what mine are set at).
Let me know when you are in game and we can wingup sometime! I tend to fly knits/rooks since I have the most friends on those sides and have a distaste for the clergy ;)

I have that exact setup. would be happy to send you my files.

Good Post!
I use a CH Fighter Stick, Pro Throttle, Rudder pedals setup, but am quiet different than most, I map all my views on the stick ( and flaps) to where most others will map their views to their throttle...
I have yet to see anyone using CH products set their stuff up like me, but I am left handed and fly with a right handed stick
Welcome back

Why do some people ask for other people's stick profile settings? I think everyone have their own way of setting their sticks to feel comfortable. I recommend you set it up yourself and pick what buttons you want to do things with. TC I also have a very wierd CH setup lol.

Mine is actuslly very similar, since I got the stick before the throttle. I have the hat view for the 8 way switch. Flaps for the 4 way switch up and down. The front lower push button is for zooming in, the side thumb lower push button for wep, the top red button from channel voice range, the index finger button on the top front for channel squad. Lower pinky finger is look up, and trigger finger is for shooting.
Works pretty well for most part.
